CORN DISCOUNT SCALE

MOISTURE:             1 percent of contract price each ½ percent or fraction over 15.0 to 21.  Minimum 2-1/2 cents per bushel each ½ percent. fraction over 5 to 7 percent.

DAMAGE:                 1 cent discount, each 1 percent or
                                    2 cents discount, each 1 percent or fraction over 7 to 10 percent. 
                                    3 cents discount, each 1 percent or fraction over 10 to 15 percent.
                                    4 cents discount per point over 15 percent.

FOREIGN                                                                       

MATERIAL:             2 cents discount, each 1 percent or fraction over 3 to 4 percent.
4 cents discount, each 1 percent or fraction over 4 to 5 percent.
5 cents discount, each 1 percent or fraction over 5 to 10 percent.

TEST

WEIGHT:                  1 cents discount each 1 pound or fraction under 54 to 52.

                                    3 cents discount each 1 pound or fraction under 52 to 50.

                                    below 50 pound test weight subject to rejection.

MUSTY:                     5 cents dock. 

LIVE BUGS:              15 cents dock.

SOUR:                        10 cents dock:

A.     Pit Smell – Don’t take

B.     Burn Smell – OK to take

HEAT:                        .21 - .50 = 1 cent dock

                                    .51 – 1.0 = 2 cents dock

                                    1.1 – 1.5 = 3 cents dock

                                    1.6 – 2.0 = 4 cents dock

Corn Hybrid must be approved for use in the European Union.  Any corn brought to Penford Products Co. that is not approved, will be rejected.
